Abstract Base is a specially developed base gel for the Abstract Gel technique, with a unique composition that allows the formation of spectacular, organic patterns. The material’s density and adhesion are set so that painting gels, gel polishes, or colored UV gels react in a special way – they flow and spread on the surface, creating unique abstract designs.
This base is essential for achieving truly spontaneous, ink-like abstract effects. Applied decorative material does not stay rigid, but gently moves, blends, or “spreads,” making each nail unique and one-of-a-kind.
How to use:
-
Prepare the nail as usual and apply a base color (e.g., light gel polish).
-
Apply Abstract Base in an even layer and pre-cure for about 30 seconds – do not fully cure.
-
Apply decorations: Abstract Gel, gel polish, or colored UV gel can be applied in dots, lines, or waves. Use a dotting tool for holes.
-
The material activates immediately and begins moving on the surface, creating the special abstract effect.
-
Once the design reaches the desired effect, fully cure under the lamp and seal with top coat.
Professional tips:
-
Don’t just use Abstract Gel! Abstract Base allows almost any material to flow – gel polishes, painting gels, colored UV gels.
-
Flow speed and effect depend on material amount and pre-curing time. Shorter pre-cure = faster and stronger effect; longer = slower and more controlled.
-
For a softer effect, use a thin layer and less material.
-
In warmer conditions (around 35–36 °C), the effect is even more pronounced.
-
Experiment with different base and top coats for more depth and visual effects.
Abstract Base is essential for any nail artist who loves abstract, artistic techniques. Its flexibility, versatility, and interaction with other materials offer endless creative possibilities – from subtle elegance to bold, modern designs.
